How does it work?

First step, interested people buy or order online one of the supports produced by the QR-Post company and on which QR codes are printed. Second step, simply scan this QR code with their smartphone to activate the QR-Post. These fans then find themselves on the company's interface where they will only have to give their name and email address.
Then, in practice, a person who finds the luggage, keys, etc. on which the QR-Posts have been fixed or stuck, scans the QR code. They then receive a message inviting them to leave a telephone number that will be sent to the owner so that they can propose an appointment, a shipment by post, at a relay point, etc. "The connection is completely anonymous," insists Laurent Berns.

A simple system

To ensure the success of their innovation, the founders of QR Post wanted to design a simple, non-invasive and sustainable system. This is why the interface only asks users for their name and email. Another advantage of the QR code technique is that the owner can change their contact details at any time using a personal code.

“There is no subscription and the QR code can be used for life,” says Laurent Berns.

A smart device

From this brilliant idea, the variations are easy to follow since QR Post offers cards to attach, key rings or stickers to stick. You can therefore stick a QR-Post on the back of your passport, for example, or on the back of your smartphone, your motorcycle helmet... In short, on anything that can be lost or forgotten. The possibilities seem endless and predict, after only a few months of existence, a success that will go far beyond the borders of France.
The device is also able to detect the language of the phone of the different parties and adapts. If the language is not recognized, the exchanges will be in English. Thus, luggage found on the other side of the world can easily be reported to its owner.

How much does it cost?

No subscription, then. The luggage card and its steel cable to attach it are sold for €2.80 each, the key ring costs €4 and the stickers are €3 for three. A travel kit is available including 2 luggage cards, 1 key ring and 3 stickers, all for €12.
The best of the best: the project designed by Laurent Berns plans to develop a community of “QR-Posters” who help each other find lost luggage and objects.
So here is a useful and simple idea, which will not fail to attract the attention of the crowds but also of the players of the travel and/or insurance. A new standard for travel?…
