The 8th edition of Viva Technology, the unmissable event for innovation and technology, will be held from May 22 to 25, 2024 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. More than 150,000 visitors, 11,400 startups and 2,600 investors are expected. The show is open to the public on Saturday, May 25.
For four days, from May 22 to 25, professionals have the opportunity to discover the latest global technological advances, present and future, with in particular 3 strong themes. Saturday, May 25, the show opens to the general public with especially gaming and e-sport.
Three key themes, including AI, of course
For his 8e edition, VivaTech has decided to highlight three major themes in the air:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) : With real-world applications transforming various sectors, AI is at the heart of the discussions and innovations presented. Nearly 40% exhibitors will show solutions using AI, highlighting its growing importance in the professional and personal world with a turnover perspective increased from 136 billion dollars in 2022 to… 2000 billion in 2030. Vivatech will also be the showcase for all the sectors in which AI has already sown or will soon sow the seeds of revolution: health, agriculture, sport, insurance, climate, cinema, industry, cybersecurity, etc.
- Sustainable Tech : The focus will be on technologies that promote a more sustainable future. The proposed solutions aim to address the current environmental and social challenges, with initiatives such as the Impact Bridge, highlighting startups with a positive impact.
- Intelligent Mobility : Faced with the challenges of congestion and ecological footprint accentuated by a constantly growing population, the necessary innovations in terms of mobility will be widely addressed and debated. Technologies enabling more efficient and sustainable mobility will be at the center of discussions and demonstrations: The transport of goods, individual daily or leisure travel, and improved flows are all in the sights of the AI revolution.

Japan, Guest of Honor
Japan is the guest country of honor for VivaTech 2024. Known for its leadership in technology and innovation, Japan to showcase over 40 of its top startups, thus offering a showcase of its dynamic ecosystem. special pavilions and dedicated sessions will allow visitors to discover Japanese advances in robotics, AI and sustainable tech.
34 contemporary and feminine challenges
No less than 34 challenges are scheduled during the Vivatech edition, in key themes such as Data & AI, Energy & Climate Tech, the future of work, Digital Trust & Cybersecurity, Creative Industries, etc. These challenges received no less than 6,200 applications from 90 different countries.
Among these challenges, VivaTech is reorganizing its Female Founder Challenge. Its objective is to facilitate meetings between Venture Capital funds and female entrepreneurs to accelerate funding for women-led startups and encourage these funds to promote greater gender equality. This year, 589 applications from 74 different countries were received, a record and an increase of 23% compared to 2023. Five finalists will present their project.
