A European crossroads of technological innovation

With 17,000 participants expected, more than 220 exhibitors, 300 speakers And 65 conferences and round tables, THE Big Data & AI Paris trade fair asserts itself as the biggest French event, and one of the most influential in Europe, for data and artificial intelligence professionals.

Directed by Emilie Pierre-Desmonde, ambassador of the government program Dare to use AI and show director at RX, the event intends to remain the beating heart of the technological ecosystem, bringing together startups, researchers, large groups and public decision-makers.

"The show is a real platform for meetings and debates for the ecosystem. We talk about technologies, of course, but also about digital sovereignty, regulation, economic models, and societal impact," explains Émilie Pierre-Desmonde.

Generative AI, frugal AI, autonomous agents: the three major dynamics of 2025

The 2025 program reflects the rapid evolution of AI uses in businesses. Three main themes emerge:

  • Agentic AI : debates around the integration of autonomous agents into organizations.
  • Frugal AI : how to combine performance and energy efficiency, with concrete cases from the banking sector.
  • Digital sovereignty : the common thread of the show, in the context of implementing the AI Act, of NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act.

Major players such as Danone, Sodexo, BNP Paribas, OVHcloud, Thales or even the Ministerial Agency for Defense AI will intervene to share their feedback.

Quantum enters the dance: a Village dedicated to deeptech

This is one of the big new features of this edition: the Quantum Village, developed in partnership with Systematic Paris-Region, intends to make the link between disruptive technologies And future industrial applications.

Among the actors present, ColibriTD arrives with a size advance : the French startup has just announced that its function QUICK-PDE – designed to solve complex partial differential equations (PDEs) – was officially integrated into IBM Qiskit's quantum function catalog.

“After four years of research on extremely complex multi-domain problems, QUICK-PDE is a world first. It is proof of the relevance of our approach and the power of quantum applied to industrial simulations,” says the ColibriTD team.

This recognition marks a turning point for applied quantum computing to fields such as finance, climate modeling, and precision engineering. The show will be an opportunity for ColibriTD to present this innovation in preview and discuss its concrete implications with the ecosystem.

In addition to ColibriTD, the Quantum Village will also host:

  • Quandela, pioneer of quantum optics made in France,
  • VeriQloud, specialist in secure communications,
  • Welinq, which develops interconnections for quantum computers,
  • And other key players in European deeptech.

"Quantum is still exploratory, but its future impact is immense. The show aims to be a place for foresight and structuring of this sector," emphasizes Emilie.

Announcements, demos, exclusive insights

Beyond the keynotes and conferences, the show promises a dense program of technological demonstrations and exclusive announcements :

  • TotalEnergies and Mistral AI : presentation of a strategic partnership around generative AI.
  • Quandela and ColibriTD : live demonstrations of their quantum innovations.
  • Curie Institute & Bioptimus : focus on AI applied to health.
  • Thales & OVHcloud : feedback on sovereign architectures and the cybersecurity of tomorrow.

And to open, a highly anticipated keynote from mathematician Cédric Villani.

A panel of high-level speakers

Among the key speakers of this 2025 edition:

  • Axel Droin (Danone)
  • Léa Deleris (BNP Paribas)
  • Michel Lutz (TotalEnergies)
  • Annabelle Gérard (Stellantis)
  • Jean Senellart (Quandela)
  • Zelda Mariet (Bioptimus)
  • Researchers from CentraleSupélec, Inria, the Curie Institute, etc.

A diversity of profiles that illustrates the richness of the uses of data and AI in all economic sectors.

Cybersecurity and digital sovereignty at the heart of the debates

With the entry into force of new European regulations, cybersecurity is becoming a strategic focus for all businesses. The show will offer feedback on:

  • The use of AI for real-time threat detection,
  • The development of trust infrastructures,
  • New cyber defense approaches implemented by the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

“Cybersecurity is not a constraint, but a competitive advantage. It must be integrated into innovation strategies,” says the director of the salon.

Towards European digital autonomy

If the word “sovereignty” is on everyone’s lips, It is strategic autonomy that Europe is aiming for, according to Emilie:

"Europe cannot compete in size with American or Chinese giants, but it can win on execution. We must support the local ecosystem, focus on open source, and direct public and private investments towards European solutions."

A business fair above all, serving decision-makers

Unlike other events, Big Data & AI Paris is not a general public exhibition, but good a strategic business meeting, intended for:

  • IT and innovation decision-makers,
  • Business managers,
  • Public actors,
  • Startups,
  • Researchers and technical experts.

“It’s the only place in France where strategic vision, concrete feedback, and business opportunities intersect. A true crossroads of data and AI,” concludes Emilie.
